Berkeley Chamber elects new 2019 President and Board of Directors

The Berkeley Chamber Board of Directors is please to announce Chris Stow of Nucor Steel Berkeley as Chamber President. 
 
Also elected to serve as new Board Members are:  Ms. Katya Gill, Legal Counsel, Volvo Car USA, LLC; Mr. Dennis Harbath, Plant Manager, Century Aluminum – Mt. Holly; Mr. Steve Lattuca,  SVP/CFO, Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union; Mr. Rob Smith, Attorney, Moore & Van Allen;  Mr. Talon M. Wagenknecht, Designer, Thomas & Hutton Engineering, Co.; and Mr. Tommy Preston, Director, National Strategy & Engagement, The Boeing Company.  They will be joining current Board Members:  Mr. Paul Carff, Site Facility Manager, Google Data Centers; Mr. J. Michael Cole, VP, Business Development, Cooper River Partners, LLC; Ms. Vickie Cummings, VP of Human Resources, Trident Health; Ms. Dot Gatlin, Senior Vice President & Market Executive, First Citizens; Mr. Derek Mathis, Senior Vice President, SunCap Property Group; Mr. Gary Plyler, Business Development Manager, MAU Workforce Solutions; Mr. Eric Samuelson, Operations Director, BP Cooper River Plant; Mr. Godfrey Gibbison, Lowcountry Graduate Center, Dean – School of Professional Studies; Mr. Clarence Wright, Southern Division Manager – Gas Operations, SCE&G/SCANA; Mr. Kevin Housand, 2017-2018 Past Chamber President
 
The Chamber’s Board of Directors is comprised of diverse business professionals who understand the needs of its membership and possess the energy and commitment to lead the Chamber.  These additions along with our current Board Members will support our strategic vision to advocate for policies that promote business growth; connect businesses to clients, programs and resources that help their businesses prosper; develop our region’s generation of business leaders and community stakeholders, advance our region to attract, develop and retain talent, keep our members abreast on the latest issues that could influence their wellbeing.
