Description

Unlike some workshops that simply inform you about the Federal Government's $2.5 billion Small Business Innovation (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program, we show you how to actually write a winning proposal. The SBIR/STTR grant is free money to help you develop your concept into a working product and bring it to market. In addition, we will work with you one-on-one at no charge to help you with the legal, accounting, finance and project management aspects of the grant that will make you and your business successful. Dr. Jim Wasson, the Charleston Area SBDC Technology Commercialization Consultant, will lead the workshop. Dr. Wasson is a serial entrepreneur whose previous company received a NC state award for capturing the most SBIR contracts. As prior CTO at BAE Systems, he developed many products and took them to market. He is also a consultant to the Department of Defense SBIR/STTR Program Office and an SBA SBIR/STTR state representative. Pre-registration is required.
