Hell Hole Gator Trot Marks 50th Year as Lowcountry's Oldest 10K

JAMESTOWN, S.C. (Sept. 20, 2026) - Hell Hole Inc. will host the 50th running of the Hell Hole Gator Trot on Saturday, Oct. 17, in Jamestown, the Lowcountry's oldest 10K road race. Both the 10K and the 5K start at 8:00 a.m. and finish in downtown Jamestown.

The 10K follows its classic route from French Santee Road to Simmons Road, Tiger Corner Road and Highway 41. The 5K starts at the corner of Simmons and Tiger Corner and finishes at the same line on Highway 41.

Hell Hole Inc. has partnered with the Cooper River Bridge Run to offer the top finishing male, female, and youth (14 and under) in this year's 10K an automatic, paid entry and swag for the April 3, 2027 Cooper River Bridge Run.

Overall, masters and grand masters winners receive large gator-head trophies; age-group winners receive smaller ones.

Packet pickup is Friday, Oct. 16, 3-6 p.m., at Fleet Feet Carnes Crossroads, 2509 N. Main St., Summerville, and race-day from 6:15-7:45 a.m. at Hell Hole Inc., 116 Steel Shed Lane, Jamestown. Bring ID.
