Small Business Credit Survey | South Carolina Department of Commerce

We’re reaching out with an exciting opportunity to help strengthen South Carolina’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) team at the South Carolina Department of Commerce is proud to partner with the Federal Reserve System on the 2026 Small Business Credit Survey (SBCS), and we need your help spreading the word!

The SBCS is a national survey that collects valuable data on the experiences and financing needs of small businesses. The findings help policymakers, lenders, resource partners, and researchers better understand the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses and inform how they can be better supported.

The survey is open now through November 13, 2026, and takes approximately 12 minutes to complete: Take the Federal Reserve’s 2026 Small Business Credit Survey

Your support can make a meaningful difference. By sharing the survey with business owners and leaders across your network, you can help ensure South Carolina businesses have a voice in this important national research. If we reach at least 50 South Carolina respondents, the South Carolina Department of Commerce will receive a customized report highlighting the needs and experiences of businesses in our state.

These insights will help us better understand and respond to the needs of South Carolina’s small business owners, entrepreneurs, and founders, and ultimately help strengthen the resources and support available to them.

The I&E team is also happy to share the survey findings with participating organizations. If you plan to share the survey, please include innovation@sccommerce.com on your distribution list so we’re aware of your participation and can keep you informed of the results.

Thank you for helping us amplify the voices of South Carolina’s small business community!
